Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Movie

The super smart execs over at WB have decided to reboot the Buffy franchise and make [another] movie. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

1. No Joss Whedon

   That's right, the creator of the hit series and all around man-god will not be involved. At all. Really. Here's what Joss thinks of it all.

2. Then who...?

   Meet Whit Anderson, a first time writer and huge Buffy fan, who's currently in the process of tackling a script that's "compelling [...] a lot of fun" and "relevant to today" according to Batman Begins producer Charles Roven.

3. This new take on the Buffy mythos will be a complete reboot, with no mention of the original characters (Willow, Xander, Giles et al.) created for TV series.

4. I think it's safe to assume that neither Sarah Michelle Gellar or Kristy Swanson will be reprising their roles as the plucky slayer.
